Let me share my experience too
So I was dating this other guy, I loved him but things changed when I realized he abusive and had anger issues. He would beat me up for almost everything. I wanted to end things with him but he was threatening to kill me if I dare try to break up with him.
So this 1 night we were at my room(I was renting) we had a conflict and he ended up slapping me and forcing himself on me, there and there I don't know where on earth did I take so much power but I overpowered him to a point where he was scare, I pushed him into a corner like he was nothing and I was talking with a very deep voice, I was shaking in anger and he apologized and tried to calm me down. It was around 01:00 am we drove to his place and begged me to come inside, try to sleep and we will talk in the morning. I was not myself I felt like something had taken over my body. When I got in the house he went to the toilet and when I looked by the sitting room I saw a woman sitting there, the light was off where she was so I got closer to take a look and try to on the light and before I could reach there my boyfriend came and said "babe" behind me and I turned when I look back to where the woman was sitting the was no one
Uhm I know this might not sound like a reality but I know what I saw and how I felt that day
I told my boyfriend that there was someone sitting there he calmly answered "tswa mo bona a watla mo bona"
Since that day he accepted when I suggested a break up, never threatened me again instead when we meet he fails to look me in the eyes.
What worries me most is that he lost his job soon after that and turned into a druggie he is not in a good state can in be because of what I saw?
