MY LATE GIRLFRIEND ROSE FROM THE DEAD
I Became Wealthy by Raising My Girlfriend from the Dead
My confession is different. I didn’t have to take anyone’s life in order to become wealthy.
I rose someone from the dead.
I lost my mother and my girlfriend three years apart, both for different reasons. It broke me. But my girlfriend’s death shattered me beyond repair. We had been together for nine years, planning our future, waiting for me to find a stable job so we could finally get married. When she fell pregnant, it felt like my prayers were finally being answered. But she died giving birth, and the baby didn’t make it either.
I couldn’t accept it. I refused to believe that this was God’s will.
My aunt, who could see how deeply I was falling apart, advised me to go for a cleansing. I had lost so much weight. I barely ate. I isolated myself and sometimes went days without bathing because I simply didn’t care anymore. She told me about a sangoma who could help me heal and move on.
When I arrived, the sangoma didn’t even ask questions. He just looked at me and said, “The only way to heal what’s weighing you down is to become rich—and marry the woman you lost. Go to her parents, pay damage, and make her your wife.”
The thought instantly caught my attention. We had always talked about marriage. Doing right by her, even in death, somehow made sense to me. I asked him what to do.
He told me to go to her grave and collect a handful of soil. He said I must call her name three times and ask her to come with me, because we were starting a new life together. I followed his instructions exactly as he said. The next morning before dawn, I went to her grave, whispered her name, and took the soil. I brought it back to the sangoma.
He mixed the soil with muti and told me to take off my clothes and bathe with it. He said, “As you bathe, call her name. Tell her you’re going to pay lobola for her and bring her back home where she belongs.”
I did everything he said. I walked home without talking to anyone and without looking back, just like he instructed.
The very next morning, I woke up to an SMS from Transnet calling me for an interview. I had submitted my CV years ago when my girlfriend was still alive. A week later, I got the job. My life changed overnight.
Within months, I was earning well, and my fortune kept growing. I started small businesses—taxis and a BnB—and both became incredibly successful. Everything I touched turned to gold.
Three months later, I went to my late girlfriend’s family to pay lobola and damage for both her and our baby. They blessed me with all their hearts.
But my real problem began after I tried to move on.
Whenever I met someone new, I would start seeing my late girlfriend and our baby. They would appear out of nowhere—sometimes in mirrors, sometimes standing in corners, always silent but watching. It felt like they were warning me not to replace them.
Every woman I tried to date saw her too. They would run out of my house, trembling, refusing to come back. Even at work, she appears. She befriends the women I show interest in, and they suddenly lose interest in me—or quit altogether.
I went back to the sangoma for help, but he told me something I still can’t live with:
If I put her spirit to rest, I will lose everything—my wealth, my job, my success.
Now I live every day surrounded by blessings that feel like a curse.
I can’t love again. I can’t sleep peacefully.
And every time I close my eyes, I see her holding our baby… staring at me… as if waiting for me to choose between love and everything I have.
