BREAKING NEWS: AKA’s Alleged Killers Finally Surrender — Justice Nears for the Late Rapper

After nearly two years of legal battles and delays, a major breakthrough has finally been made in the **murder case of South African rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes**.

The two main suspects — brothers **Siyabonga Gezani Ndimande** and **Malusi Dave Ndimande** — have **surrendered and withdrawn their appeal** against extradition from the Kingdom of Eswatini. This means the pair will now be handed over to South African authorities to stand trial for the February 2023 killing of AKA and his close friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane

South Africa’s Minister of Justice, **Mmamoloko Kubayi**, confirmed that this move marks “significant progress” in the case, which has captured national and international attention. The extradition process between South Africa and Eswatini had been stalled for months as the suspects fought to remain in Eswatini, claiming concerns over their human rights.

Now, with their appeal withdrawn, Eswatini officials have cleared the way for their **immediate extradition**.

> “This is a victory for justice and for the families who have been waiting for answers,” said Minister Kubayi. “We appreciate the cooperation between both nations to ensure accountability.

AKA and Tibz were shot dead outside **Wish Restaurant** on Florida Road in **Durban** on **February 10, 2023**. CCTV footage of the incident, showing gunmen ambushing the rapper moments after leaving the restaurant, shocked South Africa and led to widespread calls for justice.

The Ndimande brothers were later **arrested in Eswatini** after fleeing across the border. Several other suspects were also linked to the case, including alleged masterminds and accomplices who are expected to face trial in South Africa.

News of the suspects’ surrender has been met with relief across social media. Fans and fellow artists have expressed hope that this marks the beginning of real justice for the slain musician.

Many have also commended South African authorities for **persisting through international legal barriers**, as extradition cases between neighboring countries often face long procedural delays.

The extradition process is now being finalized by Eswatini’s Ministry of Justice and the South African Police Service (SAPS). Once completed, the Ndimande brothers will be transferred to South Africa, where they will be **formally charged with murder, conspiracy, and illegal possession of firearms**.

The court proceedings are expected to resume soon after their arrival.

While this latest development brings a sense of progress, fans say it will never erase the pain of losing one of South Africa’s most celebrated artists.

AKA, known for hits like *“Fela in Versace”* and *“Lemons (Lemonade)”*, left behind a powerful musical legacy and a daughter who continues to be celebrated by his fans and family.

For now, the country waits — hopeful that justice will finally be served.
