Mogotsi spills the beans about Mamelodi John Wick

BOMBSHELL: Mogotsi Exposes “John Wick of Mamelodi” and Accuses Bheki Cele of Knowing Him for Years

South Africa is in shock after Brown Mogotsi shook the Madlanga Commission with claims that the feared “John Wick of Mamelodi” is actually Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala — and that former Police Minister Bheki Cele knew the truth as far back as 2018. Mogotsi says a Crime Intelligence report identifying Matlala as John Wick was shown to Cele years ago, yet Cele allegedly continued meeting him “many times” despite knowing he was linked to killings in Mamelodi.

This completely contradicts Cele’s own testimony, where he claimed he first met Matlala in 2024. Mogotsi called that a lie and insisted Cele met Matlala on several occasions long before then. Cele has already admitted he knows Matlala “very well” and even stayed at his apartment twice, a detail that has shocked the public even more.

The commission has also seen WhatsApp messages linking Matlala and Mogotsi, with allegations of money flowing between them — some of it allegedly used for ANC events. There are also claims that Mogotsi had access to sensitive police information and protected certain officers, suggesting deep infiltration of SAPS structures by criminal networks.

National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola added more fuel when he revealed that Matlala is linked to around 80 corruption cases. Witnesses have also accused another senior politician of using the State Security Agency to identify officers who raided Matlala’s home, allegedly to shield him.

The scandal has now pulled in Crime Intelligence, SAPS, political leaders, state security officials, and underworld figures. If Mogotsi’s claims are true, the picture is terrifying: a dangerous criminal allegedly operated for years while powerful people knew exactly who he was.

Mzansi is glued to every update, calling the saga “a real-life crime series.” And the biggest question remains: who else knew — and how far does this go?
