Tragic Death of Boitumelo Sparks Outcry Over Emotional Abuse by Baby Daddies
A young woman identified as Boitumelo Maryana has reportedly taken her own life after battling emotional pain believed to have been caused by her child’s father. Her heartbreaking story has since ignited public conversations about how toxic relationships and emotional abuse from baby daddies are silently destroying women’s mental health.
According to those close to her, Boitumelo had been struggling for months, often posting cryptic and emotional messages on her WhatsApp statuses. One of her last updates read that she felt like “the happiest depressed person alive.” She also warned other women to “choose wisely before having a baby,” calling baby daddies “the biggest door to your enemies.”
Her final posts painted a picture of a woman broken by betrayal and humiliation. Moments before her death, Boitumelo reportedly said her goodbyes to a few loved ones via WhatsApp messages. She then changed her cover photo to that of a late loved one and captioned it “Till we meet again.”
Investigations reveal that Boitumelo consumed poison mixed into a cup of Danone yogurt before passing away.
Friends and community members say her relationship with her baby daddy had become unbearable. “She was constantly made to feel like she was crazy,” one friend shared. “He would bad-mouth her to others and make her look like the problem, even though she was just trying to hold things together for their child.”
Many online users have expressed heartbreak and anger over Boitumelo’s death, highlighting how society often overlooks the emotional struggles of single mothers.
“Men don’t understand that once you give a woman a child, she’s never the same again. It’s one thing to break up, but humiliating her and still expecting her to carry on as a mother is cruel,” one Facebook post read.
Boitumelo’s passing has since become a painful reminder of how emotional neglect and public humiliation can push even the strongest souls to the edge.
Her story serves as a call for compassion, mental health awareness, and accountability in co-parenting relationships.
May her soul rest in peace.
