A child was beaten by his stepfather yesterday because he came home and found him playing inside the house with his friends, and they had broken a kettle.
The community members who became angry and went there. When they arrived, they found the owner of the house, who is the sister and the mother of the child.
Her sister then asked the community not to get involved, saying she does not want them involved, that she will handle her household matters herself, and that people should mind their own business.
It is alleged that the step father had his own frustrations and took them out on the young boy. Allegedly the stepfather’s son failed matric at a school where the stepfather was paying thousands of rands monthly.
Seems the school is a very expensive private school that is out of his pockets but he forced to downgrade his lifestyle to afford the school. Since he couldn’t beat his own child who caused his frustrations he then took it out on his stepchild.
