AN ATM SCAMMER TRIED SCAMMING A ZCC CHURCH MEMBER AND HE GOT BAPTISED UNTIL HIS TOOTH FELL OFF

A woman who claims to be the scammer’s niece allegedly came forward and commented that the man involved is her uncle. According to her, he has a long history of stealing money from family members, even taking cash from them while they sleep. She further alleged that even when money is hidden in bras or underwear, they still wake up to find it gone.

We have attached a video of the ATM incident in the first comment.

An ATM scammer was going about his daily routine, making many South Africans cry over money they had worked hard to earn. Like most scammers, he targeted people who looked vulnerable. On this particular day, he spotted a man wearing a ZCC badge and immediately assumed he had found an easy target, thinking the moholo was not “woke.” What he didn’t know was that this moholo was a ticking time bomb.

As usual, the scammer went to an ATM, allegedly jammed it, and waited patiently for his next victim. He was clearly pleased when he saw a church-going man approaching the machine, convinced that manipulation would be effortless.

When the moholo attempted to withdraw his money, the ATM allegedly swallowed his card. The scammer quickly stepped in, pretending to be helpful. Moments later, the moholo’s phone notification showed that R1,000 had been withdrawn from his account.

That’s when he knew something was wrong.

Realizing he was being scammed, the moholo confronted the man and grabbed him with his belt, delivering a series of heavy blows while demanding his money back. The scammer started bleeding as the moholo repeatedly told him that he wanted his R1,000—the money he had worked hard for.

As the situation escalated, bystanders begged the moholo to stop, warning him that he could get arrested. Despite their pleas, the moholo refused to let go, insisting that he would not release the scammer until his money was returned.

The incident quickly drew a crowd and has since sparked intense debate online, serving as a reminder of how widespread ATM scams have become—and how quickly emotions can boil over when hard-earned money is taken.
