ONLY THE CHILDREN OF THE MINI BUS OWNER SURVIVED

THE SURVIVORS OF THE VAAL 14 ACCIDENT ARE ALL THE CHILDREN OF THE MINI BUS OWNER

A Tragic Twist of Fate in Vanderbijlpark

In a heartbreaking and almost unbelievable twist of fate, all four children of the man who owns the minibus taxi involved in this week’s deadly school crash survived the tragedy.

The accident, which occurred on Monday in Vanderbijlpark, claimed the lives of 14 school pupils and has left the community in deep mourning. The minibus taxi was owned by Jimmy Vinger, whose family narrowly escaped the full devastation of the incident.

Vinger’s 22-year-old son, Ayanda Dludla, was driving the taxi at the time of the crash. His school-aged sister was also a passenger. Remarkably, they were the only two people in the vehicle who survived. Every other passenger lost their life.

Even more striking is the fact that Vinger’s two younger daughters—who normally travel in the same taxi to school—were not on board that day. One had been suspended from school, while the other chose to stay home, a decision that unknowingly saved their lives.

As families grieve and the community searches for answers, this tragedy highlights the fragile line between routine and disaster, and how ordinary choices can have life-altering consequences. The incident serves as a somber reminder of the importance of road safety and the profound impact such accidents have on countless lives.
